
Prof. Dr. K.B. Marwat offers his knowledge and understanding of two PhDs and over 30 years of experience to PR&D research and development partners. His research includes topics such as biodiversity, climate change, water quality and supply, and valuation of environmental quality changes. His consulting work focuses on plant biodiversity, weeds control in agriculture, and the role of agriculture in rural development. Marwat has completed consulting contracts for government agencies worldwide, and is known for his efficiency and problem solving.
Marwat is a Meritorious Professor (Rtd), former VC UAP, Peshawar, former Vice Chancellor, SBBU, Dir Upper. He was elected as president Asia Pacific Weed Science Society (2007-09), Executive Member, Near East, Weed Science Society (2007-09) and member of New York Academy of Sciences. He also elected member (honorary), Research Board of advisor, the American Bibliographic institute. Marwat was also member of the American Weed Science Society (1984-91), scientific committee of WWF-Pakistan, and the University of Peace Foundation UNESCO-CR. Marwat holds two PhDs, one in the field of Weed Science/Agronomy from university of Illinois at Champaign (USA) and one from University of Peshawar (Pak). He also holds other prestigious distinctions such as Sitara Imtiaz (Civil Award) 2012,
Quid-e-Azam Gold Medal, and Presidential Medal for S&T 2008.
