PR&D researchers will provide options and solutions to deal with climate change, the biggest challenges of this century. Our focus areas are climate and climate change adaptation, climate risk management through improved design, environmental valuation etc.
In forest sector PR&D researchers will provide timely and accurate quantitative methodologies for assessing current values and future forecasts of forest resources through the use of latest remote sensing, geographic information systems, statistical analysis, informatics and ecosystem modeling techniques.
PR&D also has experts in forest biodiversity measurement, and modeling the effects of climatic, edpahic, topographic factors on it. Other areas we can work on are, human-environment interactions modeling, carbon measurements, ecosystem services valuation, integrated land use management, REDD+, forest laws and forest land reforms
